Mineler’s ambitious social marketplace for mining people is going mobile today, with the launch of its new iOS App available on Apple’s App Store.
The app connects mining workers with each other and allows them to share their experiences and work history on mine sites around the world.
“The next logical step for Mineler was to go mobile – with the majority of our users working on remote mine sites, we wanted to make sure they could stay in touch with their Mineler social marketplace,” CEO Arnold Stroobach said.
Until now, Mineler has operated as a ‘Web App’, meaning the growing 70,000 pre-registered userbase could only access the network via a web browser. The web app also features the ability for users to bid for real work opportunities from mining companies.
“Mineler is a massive user experience – exploring global mine sites, connecting with mining people and bidding for work – it has been a huge technical undertaking to distill those big features into an intuitive mobile interface.”
“We think going mobile is absolutely perfect for Mineler because our unique platform is based on the geolocation of all active global mining projects, workers can use it while they’re out on remote mine sites to share photos and experiences with their colleagues.”
“Now that our iOS App has launched, we plan to begin work on the Android version and continue developing the entire Mineler experience across all platforms,” Mr Stroobach concluded.
The Mineler App is available for iOS 8 on the App Store or at www.mineler.com
